HOME!!

Hello Friends,

Unfortunately the journey has come to an end. The family and I made it back home this evening. I enjoyed my 1 month adventure and will remember it always!!

Pictures will be coming later... it may take me a while to sort through all of my photos, I have over 1,000 pics! (I'm not over exaggerating either)

Puffins!!!

This morning we went to go see puffins on a special puffin island. The rest of the day we just shopped around downtown Reykjavik. This evening we´re off to a midnight whale watching adventure!!

Tomorrow morning we´re going to the Blue Lagoon, a health spa then heading to the airport to go home.

Golden Circle

Today we drove the "Golden Circle". The "Golden Circle" is a loop around Iceland where "must see" UNESCO sights are. The sights we saw today were the Pingvellir National Park, Geysir Park (a geyser park) and the Gullfoss (Golden Falls, in English) a large waterfall. All of the sights were very pretty and picturesque.
On our drive out to the sights we saw many horses and sheep, it was very cool.

Tomorrow morning we have puffin watching and that evening we have a midnight whale watching boat ride!

Auf Wiedersehen Deutschland :(

Today we said good-bye to Germany and hello to Iceland.

We took the Sprinter a.k.a. super fast train to the Frankfurt Airport and flew to Iceland. The plane ride went well and everything else went smoothly today. Once we got into Iceland we checked out the Blue Lagoon, a natural spa place we'll be going to on Sunday morning. The landscape here looks like the moon... many lava rocks and mountains, but that's it. Since we're so far north the sun won't begin to set for another 3 hours and it's already 20:30,

Tomorrow we´re off to drive the "Golden Circle"

Letzten Tag :(

Well unfortunately today was my last day in Germany :(


We spent our day going to Potsdam, touring an ancient ruin museum, and seeing the 1936 Olympic Stadium (where Jesse Owens won several medals)!


It was a very enjoyable time in Deutschland and I will miss the people I've met here.

Geschichte

Today the family and I hit many of the historical spots of Berlin!

Places we visited:

• Checkpoint Charlie
• Holocaust Memorial
• Topography of Terror (The former SS Headquarters & 200m of the Berlin Wall
• Führer Bunker -- Where Hitler and his new wife got married and later committed suicide
• One of the East Berlin wall watchtowers

Berlin!!

First of all, this is the first time, in a long time, that I've been able to get to a computer (I've been posting messages from my phone)!!


Second of all, the family and I made it to Berlin today. We went to go see the Brandenburg Gate and I ate some good Italian food!


Tomorrow will be more eventful! :)

Gestern!!

Yesterday mom, dad, and I went to Dachau.

For supper we went to the Chinese Pagoda Biergarten an English Garten.
